Q: What is Astrology

Astrology is the study of the influence that distant cosmic objects have on our lives. The position of the sun, stars, moon and planets at the time of our birth will shape our personality and affect every aspect of our lives.    What most people know about astrology is their "sign," which refers to one of the 12 constellations of the zodiac. This is a form of astrology which newspaper horoscopes are based. It is the simplest form, because nothing more than the date of someone's birthday is needed to generate a sun-sign horoscope. This form of astrology is so simplistic that it produces very limited results.

To produce a more accurate reading, astrologers check to see what sign each planet was in at the time of birth based on the place of your birth. The planets and signs combine with other elements, such as houses and angles, to form a complex and often very specific profile of a subject's personality, life and future prospects. Sharon sees astrology as a guide, which affirms that the path a person is taking is true for them.

Q: What information is needed to do my chart

I will need the following information for the person whose chart is being requested:

       Birth date

       Birth time

       City and State of birth

Q: Where can I find my birth information?

This information may be in public, hospital or family records. If you don't have all the details, or if you still need to learn more about the initial consultation, then contact Sharon.

Q: What if I have moved from my birth city?

A relocation chart can be created. In addition to sending the birth data, also send the city and state of your current location.

Q: What is a relocation chart:

A relocation chart is a natal horoscope moved to a different location. It's a chart cast for the same instant of birth, but looked at from another location, as if the birth happened there. The planets' sign positions all remain the same, but they will appear in different houses, thus altering their strengths and areas of influence.

Q: What is the meaning of being "born on the cusp?"

Cusps are the borders between the twelve astrological signs. You are considered to be "on the cusp" if you were born within a day or two of the beginning or end of any sign.

Q: What is a rising sign or ascendant?

Most of us know the Zodiac Sign under which we were born. This is the Sign where the Sun was at the time of our birth. However, the most important individual fact for a person is the Ascendant (often called the Rising Sign.)

The Ascendant is the sign which rises in the horizon in the exact time of one’s birth; that is why the hour and minute of one’s first breath is so important to calculate the Natal Chart. The Ascendant sign expresses personality. It shows the behavior that is learned and the way we are perceived by others. It gives the idea of our personality apparent to others; physical appearance; and temperament.

Q: Do I need a birth chart done before a future chart or relocation chart?

Having the birth chart interpreted is part of the journey of self awareness, of recognizing our full potential. The birth chart shows our life's purpose, and when that may be realized. A birth chart helps us understand the personality of the individual. Different personalities react differently to the opportunities and challenges that occur in one's lifetime.

Q: When to have a consultation

Many times people turn to astrology when they are facing challenges, however, the fact that you are currently reading about astrology means that this is a good time to talk to an astrologer.

Remember, you don’t have to believe in astrology to benefit from an astrological reading. You simply need to take a leap in faith, experience it for yourself and discover that it really can work.

Q: Initial Consultation

This session looks at your birth patterns, identifies your purpose, your strengths and weaknesses and tells you what's going on now.

An astrology consultation lasts for approximately one hour (additional hours can be requested.) This includes a full reading of your birth chart plus the astrology of the moment and predictions for the year ahead. If you have a specific question or issue, please let me know beforehand.

After your consultation, you will receive a copy of your birth chart and any relevant data. Your consultation can also be recorded and sent to you.

Q: Follow Up Sessions

After the initial session, it is recommended that you consider follow up sessions to work at a deeper level and resolve current issues. Many find that yearly consultations are beneficial.

Q: What is the next step

The best thing to do is to email Sharon with accurate information including your date, time, and place of birth. Even if you don't know it off hand, this information may be in public, hospital or family records. If you don't have all the details, or if you still have questions, then please contact Sharon.
